Guilds

There are four guilds running the island of Silver Cliffs: Fates & Fortune, Merchant's Row, The Pride, and the Scholar's Emporium. Each guild is responsible for one of the major functions that keep everything running smoothly. These groups are government funded and the leads are expected to participate in government issues.

Characters can formally join one guild, though may be an honorary member of a second guild. For example, a member of Merchant's Row may peddle books and magic supplies and also be an honorary member of the Scholar's Emporium. For HUD purposes, however, there may only be one official guild joined per character.

Fates & Fortune

Lead: HELP WANTED

Colors: Lilac and Teal

Function: Religion

The official religion of the Dalezya Empire has just one temple on Silver Cliffs- overlooking the bay, of course. Those that practice the ministry of the Fates and Fortune gather here.

Merchant's Row

Lead: E'vee Starborn (Vee Starchild)

Colors: Orange and Yellow

Function: Economy & Taxes

Markets and shops exist in every zone of the island, and in an effort to give free trade and healthy commerce to the citizens of Silver Cliffs, Merchant's Row has been established. Any crafts-person or seller of wares may join the Row to aid in the collaboration of making coin. The head of the Row is also responsible for organizing regular markets and collecting taxes for the Crown of the Empire.

The Pride

Lead: Temp. Draven (seanbarker)

Colors: Black and Gold

Function: Guards & Military

The Pride are the keepers of the law, the enforcers of the Crown's wishes, and the brute strength for the Kingdom. They are well paid for their work. Guards are offered barracks quarters and an unattached Watch Tower complete with a torture chamber as well as a reasonable jail. Ride a horse, patrol the country, be a member of the Lion's Pride!

Scholar's Emporium

Lead: HELP WANTED

Colors: Dark and Light Purple

Function: Knowledge & Magic

Those who value knowledge, and it's pursuit, acquisition, and preservation are welcome to join the Scholar's Emporium. A multitude of minds can be found debating various philosophy, working on a magic thesis, or honing their works using the information contained within the vast archives. The cost of using the numerous informative resources, is to contribute your work to the Grand Archive.
